BIOGRAPHY :

He was appointed priest in 1898. Doctor in theology, he was a teacher in the seminary of Larressore and then priest in the Cathedral of Bayonne. From 1913 on he was the priest of St Pée sur Nivelle. A collaborator of the newspaper Eskualduna, he helped opening a new newspaper called Gure Herria. He wrote a lot, either in verse or in prose, among which numerous plays. He won a lot of prizes thanks to his poems in Sare, Hendaye, Urrugne or Buenos Aires as well. They were all published in Gure Herria. In 1924, he published the book Supazter xokoan (by the fireside) containing 25 fables, one poem and five plays.
