BIOGRAPHY :

He began writing texts in bask under the leadership of Jean Hiriart-Urruty. He undertook high level studies in the higher seminary of Bayonne. All along his life he published numerous papers in the newspapers Eskualduna and Eskualdun Ona. From 1921 on, he is appointed secretary for Eskualtzaleen Biltzarra (assembly of bask people). He translated into basque a lot of catechism books. He wrote the series Atsotiz, Zuhur-hitz eta Erran-Zahar (proverbs and sayings).
He published tales, fables and papers in the newspaper Gure Herria.
In 1930 he became full member of the Bask language Academy.
