BIOGRAPHY :

The husband of Marie Garat from Masparaute since 1945, they had four children. Blacksmith like his father,  after the second World War he undertook making and trading wire. For 30 years he was mayor of his village, from 1959 to 1989. Profoundly bertsulari (bertsu maker and singer), he admired Mattin and Xalbador, and followed them in a trip to the United States. The Bertsularien Lagunak association (the friends of the bertsularis) celebrated him by publishing a booklet containing  22 bertsus.
